Dr Sheena is  consultant vitreoretinal surgeon  with 2 decades  of experience in surgical and medical retina. She has worked in various eye hospitals in Ernakulam before joining our team in 2014. She is competent in surgical and medical Retina including small gauge vitrectomy, laser procedures , intravitreal injections and treatment of Retinopathy of Prematurity ( ROP). She started and managed the Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) Clinic at Rajagiri Hospital Aluva for 8 years.

She has a number of  peer-reviewed publications and is a member scientific committee, ethics committee and faculty for the DNB postgraduate teaching program at our hospital. She has presented  faculty lectures both at the state and national level.

She completed her Ophthalmology (DO) from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and DNB (Oph) from Voluntary Health Services Hospital Chennai in 2005. She completed the 2-yr surgical vitreoretinal fellowship from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai in 2007 and FRCS (Glasgow) in 2013.
