Dr Anabi Shahi is a qualified ophthalmologist with over 25 years of experience with expertise in cataract surgery. She has additional experience in management of uveitis and other ocular inflammatory diseases. She started her ophthalmology career under the mentorship of Dr NSD Raju and later under Dr T A Alexander. She is working as senior consultant in Dr Tony Fernandez Eye Hospital for the last 17 years. She is DNB faculty and surgery trainer for postgraduate students and actively involved in PG training. 

She completed her MBBS and MS from Govt Medical College Calicut in 1995 and 2001, DNB( Ophthalmology (2001),FICO(UK), MRCS ( Edin) in 2019.She underwent additional  training in contact lens dispensing (ICLEP), short term fellowship in small incision cataract surgery( KG Eye Hospital, Coimbatore 2004, training in management of diabetic retinopathy and lasers ( Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore 2008),phacoemulsification training ( Arasan Eye Hospital Erode 2012), advanced Phaco training ( LVPrasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad 2013,observership in uveitis and ocular inflammatory diseases under world renowned uvea specialist, Dr  J Biswas ( Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai  2012).
